The Allen Family
Born from salt of the earth farmers. The Allen family began their chapter as vignerons in Wrattonbully, where the battle for the "Barristers Block" was fought and won.
Returning victorious to their Adelaide Hills ancestral roots in 2006, Jan Allen launched Barristers Block in a converted Woodside dairy.
In 2023, the family acquired pioneering Port Lincoln wine brand, Boston Bay Wines. Which might just be the closest vineyard to the ocean in the world. The family also launching High Street Wine Co, a forward focused label honed in on quality winemaking and sustainable production adding another level of diversity to their multi-regional offering.
With estate owned vineyards across 3 diverse regions, Allen Family Estates is South Australia’s most geographically spread wine business.
